Construction and Demolition (C&D) Debris
Construction and Demolition (C&D) Debris means
discarded materials removed during construction, renovation, or demolition
operations on any pavement, house, commercial building, or other structure,
and includes asphalt, concrete, brick, dirt, rock, lumber, cardboard, metals
and any other vegetative or woody land clearing/landscaping materials.
Lemon Grove now requires that large projects recycle a
minimum of 75% of C&D Debris. The C&D ordinance went into
effect on December 1, 2005 to assist the City with meeting its 50% diversion
requirement mandated by the California Integrated Waste Management Act of
1989 (AB939).
